Job Brief
Job Summary: Lumberyard Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering material to various locations while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the lumberyard.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely load, secure, and deliver lumber and building materials to customers and job sites.
- Operate delivery vehicles in compliance with all traffic and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lumberyard, including but not limited to sweeping, stacking, and proper material storage.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials at the yard and for customers.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and interaction with clients.
- Follow delivery schedules and ensure timely completion of all deliveries.
Position Report to: Met-Con Lumber & Hardware Manager
Hours: 7am-5pm (Hours may vary depending on deliveries and projects)
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Experience: 1+ years lumberyard experience (preferred)
Salary: $23+ (Depending on experience)
Requirements
Valid Class B CDL (preferred)
Ability to operate forklift and other material handling equipment
Strong organizational skills
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials
Good communication skills
